Now more than ever, all of us are playing our part to make meaningful change for the world’s women and girls – which has a ripple effect on families, communities, economies and nations.

Empowered Gifts are unique and meaningful gifts that support UN Women programs in over 100 countries across the globe, helping women and girls to lead, learn, earn a living and live lives free from violence and discrimination. Each Empowered Gift represents a donation to UN Women and is a real item that UN Women uses in our work advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment worldwide – enabling women and girls to build brighter futures for themselves, their families and their community. 

Your tax-deductible donation goes to support UN Women’s work in a variety of ways, like the ones described on each card, as well as other vital UN Women projects. This means your donation will be used to help meet the most important needs of women and girls around the world. For example, rather than providing more seeds than are needed, we will support women farmers to maintain their livelihoods in other ways, such as agricultural training and access to tools. By working in this way, your generous support will go to where the need is greatest.
